Windows Millennium Lockup

We are running ME on AMD Duron 600 systems with 128 RAM, 20 GB HD. Several of our systems are locking up at startup and they have to continually shutdown to get it to startup. Is this a major problem with ME and is there a patch or fix for this problem.
