Windows NT 4.0 Installation

After installing the OS, I have problems with the NIC card. I can ping to 127.0.0.1 and get replies but cannot get into the LAN. How do I resolve this? Also, NT 4.0 Workstation is installed with SP1. How do I install other service packs?
