Windows NT4 and Adding A Printer Wizard

I had a strange problem that I have never seen before. A user had a computer that lost connection to the print server and was therefore unable to print. Before I got to her desk, she had rebooted the machine. When I got there I tried the Add A Printer wizard and kept getting an “RPC Server Locked” error. I tried restarting the service but couldn’t. Anyone have any ideas?
