Windows OS License key.

Hello,

I’m totally lost with these license key.

We have about 200 machines using windows XP.now that we have to jot all the License key into the asset register for future references.

I managed to get a software which will give me all the details of all the computers on the network which gives windows xp license key,but unfortunately the key it produces using the key finder is so DIFFERENT then the one which WRITTEN on a sticker on the MACHINE?

Can anyone please help me what are the differences between both of the license keys?

we have one single oem license thats what the dell people told me.Then whats the importance of the license key written on the machine (sticker type)
