Windows Shared Drive

Hi, I have a setup where i have a windows xp sp2 computer which has a 500gb hard drive connected to it which is shared and 2 vista home laptops. When i try to map the shared drive to the laptops it gives a error saying logon failure. Can you guys help me out.
