Windows Stop Message

Using explorer in Win NT 4.0 I can view the properties of any of my folders, but if I try to view the properties of my drives I get a blue screen with a stop message.
The message reads STOP 0x0000000a
IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Address 8001442 has base at 80010000 – hal.dll
Does anyone know how to correct this problem without doing a re-instal. I have applied service pack 5.
