Windows XP java enable

I have a notebook which I configured dual boot-up between WinXP and Win98.
I try to configured Cisco switches using GUI but it prompt up error message that my O.S XP does’t have Java enabled and there is no option for me to install it at the Internet option like Win98.
Pls advise.
