Windows XP Pro joining NT 4.0 Domain

I have problem configurating my Windows XP Pro.
workstation joining the Domain running NT 4.0 Server. After setting up the network connection,insert in the Domain name on the XP workstation. I reboot the workstation and tried to logon to the domainusing the administrator profile. But it prompt the error msg “Domain controller is not available”
