Windows XP Pro unable to browse network

I have two computers (one is an M40 Dell Laptop, the other is a Dell precision 530 workstation)both are exhibiting the same problems they are unable to find any computers in network places or in explorer you are able to browse for a computer by nameusing the search function. I have already turned on the computer browser in the services section. We are running a peer to peer network with workgroups, and all 108 workstations are in the same workgroup.
