This is my set up. I have a generic case and power supply with 400W. An abit KG7 motherboard, 512MB PC 2100 DDR, AMD athlon XP 1700, ATI radeon 7500 64MB DDR with TV out, soundblaster live value soundcard, generic Network card, asus 24x10x40 CDRW, windows XP and 2000 on a partitioned WD 7200 40GB HD. Problem is whenever I play a game, B-17 or Medal of Honor, Allied assault, it freezes up. I set the cpu clock speed the SOFT III menu in the bios at 1600 because it won’t even boot up at 1700. I called AMD and the told me to reset the cmos but I have the same problem after I do it. Some times it will detect the all the hardware but not boot up or freeze after opening a game or not ever boot up at all. It will turn on but light on the keyboard will stay on and the monitor won’t ever come on. It enen froze running nero burning rom and even minesweeper! I think I have a bad CPU. What do you think?
