Windows XP Sysprep deletes desktop icons

Ok, I am able to successfully get Sysprep to work on all the newly ghosted computers. They generate their own names and add themselves to the network without a problem using the Sysprep.inf. The bad thing is all of my customizations to the NTUSER.DAT are deleted, along with all of my shortcuts on the desktop. Is there anyway to stop Sysprep from doing this. I have tried using all of the recommended switches for Sysprep.exe, but they do not seem to work. If anyone has any info regarding this it would be a huge help. Thanks.
