Windows XP User Accounts

I just Installed Windows XP on my computer. When it asked for my full name I typed it in. Then when the networking thing came up and asked what the computer was to be named, I named it Jeremy. However, now I can’t create a user profile named “jeremy” and that is what I want to create because it is on my other computers. One comment, when it asked what to name my computer, it suggested Jeremy-IO9237 or some random thing like that. If i chose that would it show up on the network as that, or would that part be invisible and that is why they offer that as a suggestion? Let me know, thanks.
