Windows XP/ Windows 98 Networking

by ice_runner77 . Updated 24 years, 4 months ago

My dilemma is quite complex. I have recently installed a network on three computers. One laptop running XP and two PCs, one with ME and the other 98. After the hardware was complete I began to install the software, but upon implementation I noticed a network wizard on XP so I tried it in order to skip the ordeal of manual installation. So once the laptop was configured, I was asked to create a disk to install the network on the other PCs. I did and then went onto PC with ME and installed the software. The internet ran fine. Two down one to go. After the installation of the software, I got nothing except cannot find page errors. I have called support from the router company (Linksys) and that led nowhere. Everything is connected and I am asked for a password when ever I start my PC. The lights are all the right colors and on. But still no internet. I am running a 10/100 Ethernet network, and I?m out of ideas.
