Windows2000 Authentication Issue

by allan . Updated 24 years, 2 months ago

I’ve just installed a firewall and now have a strange problem.
From a server in the dmz, I could not browse or map a drive to machines on the inside. I opened up the interface to “IP Any Any”
-still no good
NT4 domain, so I put a BDC (also a WINSserver on same box)in the dmz to help authenticate.
Now dmz servers can browse and map drives into the inside.
What is not working….On a W2K server, when you choose a folders properties and want to add someone from the domain it says that it can not find the domain
NT4 servers in the dmz do not have this issue
It seems to be a communication problem from the W2K servers to the NT4 PDC or BDC.
There are no problems logging on to the servers so I know they can communicate on that level. Itjust when you try and change File/Folder security that it can not find the domain.
Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance -Allan
