Winfile Application

I’m running Windows 98 w/y2k update. I use Winfile and Windows Explorer to manage my files. Drive C:/ is 6.5 gig hard drive. The MS-DOS portion recognizes the 6.5 gig hard drive, but Winfile and Windows Explorer does not..any known reason why? Thanks!
