wininet error 12027 using IE 5

our extranet site uses Outlook Web Access for email. A single user experiences error 12027 when trying to access OWA only. User does not have any problems with other services available through extranet. Any advice to correct the problem? Uninstalled and reinstalled IE 5 with no correction to problem.
