winipcfg caused an invalid page fault

error received when “winipcfg” is run: winipcfg caused an invalid page fault in module WINIPCFG.EXE at 0167:0040d02e.
Attempting installation of Linksys wireless router with cable modem and unable to get remote computer to access internet conection. Network works fine, most likely with netbeui protocol. Help. Thanks Tom
