WinME backup

There is frequent advice to back up data, which is good. However, with the 4 GB limit on non-NT Windows and hard drives going bigger and bigger (I have a new 60 GB HP home system), how does one go about doing a backup that doesn’t take a week to complete?

Is there a utility that breaks up the effort into smaller chunks automatically?
