Winxp invisible on ntwk n/hood

Hello folks!
My network is made up of a winxp, win98 and winme PCs. It all works fine except that although all the other PCs are visible in network neighbourhood/network places of any PC on the network, the Winxp is invisible, as well as any of it shared items. It can be connected to and accessed through the address bar or search and double-click on icon but it does not appear like the other ones do on the network.
Any tweak I need to apply to make less cumbersome to access? I’ve set-up a shortcut on the desktop for it but this looks messy.
