WinXP No MS Word?

I recently loaded Windows XP pro, and have run into a problem. I can not use MS word at all. When I attempt to use MS word, I get the this problem:
1.) A window comes up with ‘installing microsoft word feature.
2.) “The feature you are trying to use is on a cd rom or other removable media that is not available”, Install MS office XP professional with front page and click ok.
3.) I have WindowsXP professional, and I load that cd and nothing else happens?

4.) I SHOULD HAVE STAYED WITH WIN98SE OR BOUGHT A MAC!!

Anyone have any suggestions?
