WinXP Pro “Trap 00000006”

As discussed previously in document at https://www.techrepublic.com.com/5208-6239-0.html?forumID=39&threadID=106229, I received an almost identical message.
Since I can’t access drive C:\ I can’t do any diagnose or else. However, there is a partition in the same drive and that one is fully accesible .
The responses to the mentioned article are not workable, due to the lack access to the C:\ drive. I’ve cleared the Cmos as sugested and followed all directions. However, no luck. Anyone knows anything that could help? Thanks!
