Hello:
First, my drives & partitions (from XP Disk Management Screen):
Disk 0: E: (Healthy, Boot), I:, J:, K:.
Disk 1: C: (Healthy, System), F:, G:, H:.
Disk 2: D:
I recently (6 Months) added Disk 0, made 4 partitions, and installed WinXP HE SP2. All was fine and booted from the first part. (then C:, now E:). I recently had to re-install WinXP so I first installed XP onto Disk 1, first part (so that I could reformat the Disk 0 first part). When I then attempted to install WinXP back onto Disk 0 it will not allow that partition to be the C: drive. Instead, it insists on the arrangement listed. I have tried to make the Disk 1 first part non-bootable but it refuses to install until I make that partition bootable.
I have never seen a problem like this and I would appreciate whatever help anyone can give me as to how to get my Disk 0 first part back!!
TIA
