winXP startup error message.

When I start winXP on a Dell laptop and it is not connected to the internet, I get a system error “The system has recovered from a serious error” message with an error code of 100000ea. This will always happens at least once and sometimes twice. Otherwise the computer works fine, it is just disconcerting to the end user.

Any ideas as to the cause of this?
