Wireless Network Connection grayed out

I have an Acer TravelMate 630 notebook running Windows XP Pro. Its built-in wireless NIC works fine with my access point (D-Link DWL-900AP+) until I installed XP SP1. The Wireless Network Connection becomes unavailable (gray out) and I wasn?t ableto uninstall SP1 since I didn?t choose to archive old files during service pack installation. Please advise how to fix this problem. Thank you and best regards.
