Won’t let me login to the cloned W2K par

Hi,
I used Norton ghost and Powerquest DriveCopy to clone a prtition from my 1st hard drive to a prtition in the second HD. It cloned OK, i modified the boot.ini, it’s booting to Win2K, but after i logon (username and pass), it says ‘saving settings’ and then i get prompted for my login/password again!! I login again and the same thing happens…an infinite loop….i get the same thing when trying to boot in Safe Mode. I have no problem on my original W2K partition. I need to make the cloned disk work as i have to send my first for replacement(bad sector)

Any help would be greatly appreciated
