word doccument security

I have been asked to look at ways of ‘locking’ a word doccument over and beyond using std. features. I need to be able to save and send via email or on cd reports that can not be copied (unless retyped), saved as something different, amended. Basically all a third party can do is read it or print it. Any advice, I was thinking of using pdf formating would this work or is there a way using vb script to disable everything in word except print!
