Word – Office – Windows XP idiosyncrasy

ISSUE – document saving in Word. PLATFORM – Word 2002/Office XP/XP Professional. PROBLEM – an error message received when saving an existing document opened in Word. “Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error”. Click “OK” in response. Another box appears, “Do you want to retry save” with Yes/No options, select “No”, no further messages appear. Immediately, select “Save” from File dropdown menu, the document is saved without any further problem. Suggestions or comments sought….
