WORD + WINDOWS MILLENIUM

i have learned from a friend that he had problems running word(97 or 2000 or office xp or 2000?)plus windows me. i know of the ressources-problem and have solutions stabalizing this. i once heard of additional steps (or one) to be taken within word. i cannot test this because i have neighter office nor word alone on my own pcs.
