Word97 maps network drives in background

User has a system – PII 233 with NT4WS sp5, Office 97 pro sr2, and Visual InterDev installed. They require Office 97 Pro to stay in line with their main customer. They have a a set of templates which Word points to on a server. When they use the templates, the machine maps three network drives in the background to the system folder of said server. Does this every time a template is loaded. Have re-installed Office (after using Eraser) and re-applied the service pack. Have destroyed the ‘normal.dot’ and re-installed network drivers.
