Workman’s Compensation – In California

I am a General Contractor doing mainly kitchen & bath remodels. I also act as a retail center, selling cabinets, hardware, etc.

I currently employ 2 finish carpenters.

My question is what should be my minimum coverage? I see all different coverage amounts when my subs supply me w/ their policies but really what should I be carrying? What is it based upon? I also carry an umbrella policy.
