workststion not responding

I am running windows NT 4.0 on one server 33 workstation. Some workstations are not working.
Things I have done.
Green signal lights is on.
Ping the computer.
Check cable
However, when I try to tracert I get this message, “Unable to resovletarget system name.” What is the problem?
