Wrong memory showing

I recently built 3 PC’s

All hardware new, inc motherboard, memory, processor, case power supply.

All show correct config pre bios, however, once in windows, all are showing 196,080 kb RAM

I have not tried using any specific memory trouble shooter yet; this information was gained from the system properties (general tab) application (via right clicking on my computer icon on desk top and giong into properties.

The bios (pre windows ) shows the correct memory

Each PC has 1 single memory stick (256mb)
