Setting up a batch of Toshiba laptops via a wireless link with Windows ME to logon to a domain.
All the settings have been set (NB I do this almost daily for other Windows OS’s on laptops and desktops so is not an oversight) so that a domain logon can proceed.
However – on a reboot the laptop ONLY offers a ‘Windows Logon’. Once logged on if I elect to log off I then get a domain logon prompt and all responds normally until the next reboot. Occasionally the domain logon will come up after the desktop has started.
Purely by accident though, I set the Primary Network Logon to ‘Windows Logon’ and sure enough up came a windows logon – however, if I elected to actually logon (using anything) then I am offered a domain logon with an option to “save password in password list”.
Any thoughts on how to get the domain logon to appear when using the correct PNL of ‘Client for MS Networks’ ??
Stu the confused?
PS. I brought one of the laptops back to our base and setup on our Wireless LAN with none ofteh above problems, so could it be a problem on their LAN, if so what?
