Xerox All In One Question

Last week we had a power out and then on again withing a few seconds. My Xerox work center XK50cx has been reading the Black/Right ink cartidge as empty ever since. It was printing The cartridge is full or near full. I cleaned all the contacts on the cartridge and printer carefully but still no difference. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
