xls file won’t print in landscape view

My client has a Windows 2000 computer with Office 2000. She created a file in Excel and wants to print it in landscape view. When she selects the page layout from the file menu and switches to Landscape, in the Print Preview menu it is shown still in Portrait. Even when she goes to the LaserJet 4000T, it still comes out Portrait.
