XML & Delphi

I have a Delphi application that I need to start using XML with in order to interface with a state database. I’ve never used XML before, and all the examples I’ve seen seem to use jsp. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me some Delphi examples? I’m thinking that I need to use Indy for this project.
