XML Useless or Not!

Hi,
Sorry, I know that the title is silley. Just I want to know, How can I code a clientside script able to read or parse an XML file to dispay its data in any web browser? What ever the name MSIE, Mozilla, Opera, etc.
Is this possible? If answer is yes, please tell me an hyperlink to a tutorial answers this question.
