XP Dial-up Networking

Folks,

I’ve got a bit of a problem and can’t figure out the answer.

I use a dial-up connection for Internet access. The ISP is use cuts off the connection after 2 hours, at which point I redial. But when I try to do this a 2nd or 3rd time, I get an error, 628, when verifying username and password, saying the connection could not be established. From that point, DUN will not connect to any ISP. However, if I restart the PC, I can connect again without any problem.

This is on an XP system.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Any help and/or info would be greatly appreciated.
