XP Dial up

Operating XP Prof and utilizing one PC as the connection to the internet, the dial up connection continues to dial up and connect on it’s own. It is set up that no password is needed to connect from any PC on the network. I only want the PC to connect when someone on the network requests it not on it’s own.. is there a setting I need to look at ?????
