XP Error Reportaholic?

by rorystephenson . Updated 19 years, 4 months ago

I have recently installed windows home edition on my computer and everything was running smoothly until one day all the programs I use decide to pop up error reports. On some programs it happens straight away (firefox) and others it waits a while and then decides to die on me (zone alarm).

One of the weird things about it is if I just drag the error reports out of the way the program can continue to function perfectly well without any differences whatsoever.

Disabling error reports didn’t help, just popped up a message saying “the instruction at 0x00130711 referenced memory at 0x02b20000. The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate the program. Click cancel to debug the program.

If it would help I can re-enable the error reports and post what they contain here or anything else. Thanks for any help.
