XP HELP

Hi Steve,
I messed up a XP installation, firstly I installed win98/2 on C drive, than XP on D drive. As I never used XP before. The computer is Intel 845 M/B & P4 1.7Ghz
Now, as I wanted a clean installation & to change size of partitions I went to fdisk & tried to delete the partitions. I couldn’t delete Ext Dos partition(with XP on it) & ended up deleting & formatting the primary partition,C drive (Win 98) .
Now System won’t start…’missing OS’
Can not delete ext dos or logical drive inside it…does it make sense? which way is out? Appreciate asnyone who has the time to answer this one(-:
