XP-Laptop recover data from NT-laptopHD?

Hi all,

I have a harddisk from a laptop (Toshiba HDD2143) which I want to retrieve data from. The laptop it used to be in (Compaq Ultra HiNote) doesn’t recognize it anymore, and doesn’t start up anymore. The OS on the HD is WindowsNT

I have another laptop (Toshiba Portege) with USB and Ethernetport. The OS on the HD is Windows XP.

Is there any way to get access to the data from the HDD2143 on the Toshiba Portege laptop?

I read that it is easy using a HD adaptor and put the HDD2143 in a normal PC, yet I don’t have a PC. (Even if I found one, can an XP PC read the NT HD?)

So are there any adaptors to be used to connect the HDD2143 to the Toshiba Portege?
