XP & Linksys VPN Connection Problems

We are trying to create a VPN with XP through a Linksys BEFSX41 router. So far, no luck. Any suggestions? There are XP pro computers at both ends; the network is a 3 computer peer to peer configuration. The other end is a single machine.
