XP + Cobol App = Disaster

Client with 4 win98se pier to pier with Cobol Program Data Workers, works ok corrupts the data mabe once a year. I upgrade to latest Hardware, W2K Server 10/100 switch XP in desktop 256MB Ram in workstations, new wiring certified. Now I corrupt sometimes 3 times a day then go 2 weeks fine. HELP!!!
