XP Pro in Domain and Workgroup

My Chairman has a laptop with XP Pro, which he wants to use in the office as part of a Windows 2000 domain, and at home as part of an XP workgroup. If the laptop is configured to join the domain, he can not see his other PC on his home workgroup. Has anyone got any suggestions to resolve this?
