XP Pro On Mixed Server Environment

We have added a few XP Pro Clients on our 2000 AD network and can logon to the domain with no problem; however, when trying to connect to SQL Server running on NT4.0 Server Error message stating innsufficient user rights {Connecting as Admin.} Witha 2000 Pro client we have no problem connecting to the SQL Server. Any Suggestions?
