XP Pro prints at reboot

XP Pro at restart prints 1 line of random corrupt type characters on each sheet of paper until printer is shutoff. The printer doesn’t show as installed, I installed and uninstalled it and it installed as Copy 2. I suspect it had been installed atone time and the uninstall was corrupted somehow. There is a printer installed on this machine, it prints to it Ok, but like I said at startup/reboot it prints to this 2nd one.
