XP Pro start up problem

Computer runs Windows XP Pro. The computer show the following when turned on:

Windows could not start because the following files is missing or corrupt:
\window\system32\config\system
You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup Using the original Setup CD Rom
Select “r” at the first screen to start repair

The problem is the “original CD Rom” is no longer accessible.

Any suggestions??
