XP Pro unable to connect to network

I upgrade an IBM thinkpad A21M to MS XP PRO and everthing works fine excep when I connect the laptop to a docking station. I down loaded the drivers for the docking station from IBM’s web site and that didn’t work. Can someone help me with this or has any suggestions.
