XP Profesional User Accounts

I have 8 XP pro PC’s that have been running on a peer to peer network for some time. I now have a W2k Server(sp2) with AD w/integrated DNS/DHCP and SQL7.0, I want to join the XP machines to the Domain and still keep the settings and configs of the local user accounts. Is there a way to import/export user acounts from a WS to a Server and back?

I am able to add the computers to the OU in the DC of the server, but when I login with the Username/pw it creates a new folder (username.domain) and has all the vanilla settings. I have attempted to change the local path, but two errors occure, 1)cannot find path, 2)access denied. These two errors popup during logon to the WS-DC. And it creates a temp profile.
